UV DISINFECTION SYSTEMS
UltraViolet microbicides (UV-C) UVC disinfection is the best choice for safe, continuous and effective protection in a number of applications (food and drug production, laboratories and treatment areas, as well as gathering places), so that we and our products are protected from dispersion and contamination from microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.).
UV rays are ultraviolet (electromagnetic waves) that are classified into 3 categories:
- UV-A (315-400 nm) with tanning properties.
- UV-B (280-315 nm) with healing properties and synthesis of vitamin D.
- UV-C (100-280 nm) with microbicidal properties.
Ultraviolet light has the highest microbicidal efficiency at a wavelength of 253.7 nm, causing dimerization of thymine molecules in the DNA of microorganisms and thus inhibiting their reproduction, thus making the microorganisms dead or harmless.
Germs cannot be resistant to UV rays, unlike chemical disinfectants. Therefore, UV rays are ecological.Environmental pollution is inevitable with the use of chemical disinfectants. In addition, there is a risk of serious inhalation of vapors or ingestion of food contaminated by possible contact with the chemical disinfectants themselves.
Applications of UVC systems can be included in the original design, but also in existing installations. Their variety guarantees that there are complete solutions for every space or business, regardless of its type and size.
The air sterilization units are easily installed in new and old air conditioning installations, both in the machines and in the air ducts and operate continuously, eliminating the risk of multiplication and dispersal of microorganisms through the air conditioning system.
