They are used in cleanrooms when it is not possible to install a KCM and ductwork. Their shell is made of anodised aluminium, they have a G4 pre-filter and H14 absolute filter and a built-in fan.

LAF (Laminar Air Flow) chambers are manufactured according to ISO 14644-1 and provide a sterile environment to protect the quality of sensitive products (food, pharmaceuticals, etc.), which can be affected by dust and particles during processes involving weighing or mixing. The chambers are designed to provide a vertical air flow. Around the perimeter, in the area of downward flow, are plastic curtains, which delimit and isolate the working zone. The maintenance of positive pressure within this insulated area ensures that air from the external environment cannot enter the chamber, thus preventing the transport of airborne particles and the risk of microbial contamination. They are mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry, but also in the food and beverage or cosmetics industries.
