Chemical air filters
These chemical filters contain mainly activated carbon, but also activated alumina in various types and impurities, in order to neutralize harmful and undesirable pollutants such as ammonia, chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, mercaptans, organic acids, sulphur compounds, odours from fats, etc.
They are mainly found in the form of granules, which are placed in perforated metal cartridges or perforated plastic canisters.
They also exist in the form of material impregnated with activated carbon, which is used to make Z-line filters, bag filters and fixed bag filters.
The air speed is recommended to be maximum 2 m/sec.
